HR Director

Castle Peak - Eagle, CO - Full Time

  Castle Peak Senior Life & Rehabilitation, a premier senior community offering skilled nursing and assisted living options, is hiring an experienced HR Director to join our team. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of HR that includes compliance, worker compensation oversite, candidate and employee interaction, hiring, onboarding, and implementing HR policies. In addition to supporting Castle Peak you will provide support to Elk Run Assisted Living in Evergreen CO.  In this role, you will report to the campus Executive Director and receive support from the home office Human Resource Director. 


This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.


Salary: $62,000 - $90,000/yr. 


HR Director responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department managers to interview as needed and send out job offers.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires including background checks, references, license verifications and communication with new hires.
  • Schedule and assist with new hire orientation.
  • Answer employee questions regarding HR, benefits, payroll and leave of absence.
  • Process new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Coordinate benefits and process enrollments, changes, and terminations for all benefit plans in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Work with staff and managers to administer HR policies (i.e. leave of absence, workers compensation, OSHA, pay policies) and employee retention.
  • Ensure work comp claims are properly managed.
  • Investigate, document, and meet with employees on performance improvement; incorporate input from indirect HR Director with increased complexity & high risk factors such as protected class, resident injury, threats of violence etc.
  • Ensure compliance – collaborate with other leaders and HR to ensure training provided to on-site team for HR functions (interviewing, background check process, proper use of hiring pay scales, timely evaluations etc), personnel files are complete, hiring process encompasses all needed steps/forms, etc.
  • Manage Employee Housing Benefit
  • Some travel required
HR Director skills and requirements:
  • 3+ years of HR, benefits and payroll experience required.
  • Must have knowledge of HR laws and processes.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, UKG/Workforce Dimensions experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical abilities and computer skills.
  • Positive communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
