Health Unit Coordinator HUC

In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.
Position Type: Full-Time, working in long-term care.
Days and Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, every 3rd weekend on-call for new admissions.
Wage Range: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience
Location: 615 Minnetonka Mills Road, Hopkins, MN 55343
Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:
- Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.
- Schedule medical appointments and transportation.
- Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.
- Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.
- Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
- Complete other tasks as requested.
- Experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
- Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
