Chapel View, a Cassia community, is hiring an On-Call Cook/Culinary Assistant to join our team. As an On-Call Cook/Culinary Assistant, you will assist with meal preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen clean-up while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. You’ll work alongside a supportive culinary team to provide nutritious, well-prepared meals in a warm and inviting setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Position Type: On-call

Available Shifts:
Varied between 5:00 am - 8:00 pm

Wage Range: $20.00 - $24.85 / per hour depending on experience

Cook/Culinary Assistant Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and assist in cooking all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards
• Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
• Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• 1+ year of commercial cooking or food prep experience. 
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Selected candidates will be required to pass a background check.
