Chapel View, an award-winning Cassia senior community, is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team as an Infection Control Nurse! We are offering a $5,000 Bonus! RNs are preferred.

In this role, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate an organized program of infection control within the framework of policies and objectives established by the Administrator and Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate is a Minnesota-licensed RN with infection control expertise, LTC knowledge, and strong clinical skills to ensure safety through prevention, monitoring, and compliance.

Position Type: Full-Time
Days and Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 / year depending on experience

Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Implements and maintains the facility’s immunization policies.
  • Reports requirements for when and to whom to report incidents of communicable disease or infection.
  • Surveillance to identify possible communicable disease or infection utilizing a proactive approach to prevent further spread.
  • Identifies circumstances when isolation will be used, including the type and duration of isolation, focusing on the least restrictive form of isolation to meet the needs of the resident and the safety of others.
  • Identifies and manages of infections or communicable disease among staff members, including prohibiting staff from direct contact if transmission is likely.
  • Develops hand hygiene procedures based on recognized standards.
  • Participates in facility QAPI, Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee and will participate in the facility QAPI plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Infection Control Nurse Skills and Requirements:
  • Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
  • Must have current CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical background and knowledge of LTC rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and practices.
  • Experience in wound care and wound staging.
  • Must have excellent attendance record & ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
