Join our fun loving team as a Part-Time, Day Laundry Aide/ Housekeeper at Valley View Village! We will train you for this entry-level position. Our building is conveniently located in a park-like setting on Des Moines’ East side, near shopping centers, hospitals, medical providers and I-235.
This is a Part-Time, benefit eligible position working every other weekend.
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

What does a Laundry Aide/ Housekeeper do?
- Clean resident rooms, restrooms, day room and dining room, which may include dusting, vacuuming, washing and trash removal.
- Launder resident and facility clothing, sheets and towels, including folding, labeling and distribution to resident rooms.
- Previous housekeeping and laundry experience preferred, but not required. We will train you!
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Demonstrates knowledge of laundry/ housekeeping safety and sanitation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work a consistent schedule.
- Enjoys working independently and as a team player.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
- Desire to create relationships with residents and staff.
