RN Infection Prevention/ Wound Nurse
Harmony Gardens, a Cassia community, is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Infection Prevention/ Wound Nurse. As an Infection Prevention/ Wound Nurse at Harmony Gardens, you will provide education to all staff, manage quality assurance and infection control programs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relating to staff credentialing and education.

Shifts Available:
Days 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Negotiable Start Time)
Wage Range: $38.00 - $45.00
Location: 1438 County Road C East, Maplewood, MN 55109
RN Wound Nurse responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate wound care plans for residents.
- Become a resource to staff, nurse practitioners, physicians, residents, and families.
- Document wounds and measurements; Update physician on progress and obtain new treatment orders if needed.
- Audit nurses during dressing changes to assure proper technique.
- Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow up action as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Must have a current Minnesota Registered Nurse license and be in good standing.
- Must have a background in wound care.
- WOCN or WCC certified preferred, or willingness to receive within 6 months of hire.
- Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of staging of wounds.
- Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and strong problem-solving skills.
