Health Plan Nurse
Redeemer Health Care Center is currently seeking an experienced Health Plan Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team! As a Health Plan Nurse, your main role will be to serve as a liaison between residents and insurance companies. Our preferred candidate should have LTC experience along with experience with Medicare and patient’s insurance. We will train the right candidate.
Position Type: Full-Time (No weekends or holidays!)
Shift: Days, Monday through Friday
Wage Range: $42 to $48 / hour depending on experience
Location: 625 W 31st Street, Minneapolis, MN 55408
Health Plan Nurse responsibilities:
- Liaison between the facility and patient’s insurance company
- Issuing notices of non-coverage.
- Work in collaboration with Admissions staff, MDS, and Unit Managers, and Social Workers, corporate billing, therapy IDT.
- Document patient progress during TCU stay.
- Participating in the Medicare team meetings.
Health Plan Nurse skills and requirements:
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Minnesota required.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience preferably in LTC.
- Experience with Medicare and patient’s insurance preferred, will train the right candidate
- Proficient in computer software.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
