In this role, you will serve as a contact between the HR department and the organization at large. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Human Resources for Grace Hospice and to assist in carrying out the policies and directives in accordance with the organizational purpose and philosophy.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.

Human Resource Job Duties:

  • Display advanced knowledge of state and federal personnel law
  • Maintains working knowledge of local, state and federal safety rules/regulations
  • Display working knowledge of company disciplinary action procedures and assists with facilitating disciplinary action procedures as directed
  • Mentor/coach supervisors/managers regarding employee issues
  • Investigate/suggest resolution for employee issues/complaints as directed
  • Offer suggestions for and assists with processes of recruitment/retention
  • Display advanced working knowledge of worker’s compensation law
  • Effectively interact with employees, supervisors, managers, insurance company and attorney regarding worker’s compensation issues
  • Collect information/prepares responses to unemployment claims
  • Complies documentation/coaches witness(s)/attends unemployment hearings as directed
  • Maintain working knowledge of benefits rules and regulations
  • Processes Payroll
  • Track professional licenses
  • Maintain employee files and perform compliance audits
  • Assist with benefits administration and risk management strategies
Human Resource Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related
  • Outstanding ability to prioritize in a setting that is fast-paced at times
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning new applications
  • Proactive approach, strong work ethic and excellent coachability
  • Positivity, high energy and pride in your work
