Associate Vice President of Marketing
Cassia, a leading provider of senior living communities, is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President of Marketing to lead our strategic marketing initiatives across our senior living portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine deep marketing expertise, a creative, innovative and pioneering vision with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Marketing plays a key leadership role in driving the strategy, execution, and innovation of Cassia’s marketing efforts. This AVP partners closely with internal teams, regional leadership, and community stakeholders to enhance brand visibility, support sales, drive lead generation, manage high-volume creative projects, and lead the adoption of cutting-edge technologies within marketing workflows.
Location: This position is based at our Home Office located at 7171 Ohms Ln, Edina, MN 55439, with occasional travel to our community locations.
Starting Pay: $110,000 / year (negotiable depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
General
- Develop and execute remarkable, unique and comprehensive marketing strategies that drive occupancy outcomes and strengthen our brand position in the senior living sector.
- Partner with Associate VP of Sales and other senior leaders to develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with the regional directors of sales and marketing to create integrated approaches that generate qualified leads, improve conversion rates and provide a glimpse into what our prospect’s life could be like living in a Cassia community. Create appropriate marketing strategies that align with a prospect’s stage of readiness
- Collaborate with Regional Directors of Sales & Marketing to align marketing efforts with community needs and occupancy goals.
- Create presentations and reports for leadership audiences (regional operations, clinical, compliance, and executive teams) to highlight marketing outcomes, challenges, and priorities.
- Act as a marketing liaison to key departments and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring consistent brand messaging and alignment across channels.
- Lead and support a high-performing marketing team, creating engaging content and design for digital and traditional print campaigns. Instilling creativity, mentorship, guidance, and professional development
- Serve as a point of escalation on project prioritization, creative direction, and strategic adjustments.
- Develop and refine digital marketing strategies including SEO, paid media (Google, Bing), website optimization, and chatbot integration to increase lead quality and volume.
- Manage digital campaign performance and collaborate with internal stakeholders and digital partners to continuously improve ROI and reach.
- Create and share marketing metrics on a regular basis with key stakeholders
- Analyze and report on marketing performance using data from Google Analytics, ad platforms, project tools, and email metrics.
- Use insights to optimize campaign performance, inform leadership decisions, and guide future investments.
- Manage quarterly marketing reports for leadership, tracking impact, highlighting successes, and identifying opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators across campaigns and community efforts, adjusting tactics as needed for improved engagement and conversion.
- Stay current with market trends, competitive landscape, and the evolving needs of seniors and their families
- Lead large-scale web initiatives, including redesign projects, care-level content strategy, persona development, and service partner listings.
- Collaborate with internal teams and community leaders to ensure web content reflects Cassia’s values, services, and unique differentiators, while meeting accessibility and user experience best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred but not required
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or related customer-focused industries preferred
- Proven track record of developing successful marketing campaigns that drive measurable results
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, CRM systems, and marketing analytics
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical capabilities
