Valley View Village Assisted Living - Des Moines, IA - Full Time

Join our fun loving team at Valley View Village Assisted Living as a Full-Time or Part-Time Care Attendant. Our building is conveniently located in a park-like setting on Des Moines’ East side, near shopping centers, hospitals, medical providers and I-235.  

There are Full-Time (Day) and Part-Time (Day or Night) positions available working varied schedules including every other weekend. 

FT Hours:  7:00 am to 7:00 pm
PT Hours:  7:00 am to 7:00 pm; 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

What does a Care Attendant do?

  • Provide residents with desired services in a caring, safe and timely manner.
  • Provide redirection, reassurance, emotional and psychological support to residents and family members.
  • Assist residents with personal care with dignity and grace.
  • Document services performed on computerized charting system.
  • Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

What does a Care Attendant require?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Clear documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
