As a Health Plan Nurse at Apple Valley Village Health Care Center, you will serve as a liaison to residents’ insurance benefits while supporting the Case Manager with Medicare scheduling, monthly billing, charting, and notices of non-coverage. You’ll collaborate with Admissions, the Case Manager, and the Supply Coordinator, lead Medicare team meetings, ensure physician certifications are obtained, and perform additional duties as needed to support quality care and compliance.
 

Position Type: Full-Time, benefit eligible position. You will also be a part of the Nurse Manager Weekend and Holiday rotation. 

Shift Available:
Tuesday - Friday Days 

Wage Range: $42 - $48 / hour depending on experience

Location: 14650 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124 
 

Health Plan Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Liaison to the patient’s insurance benefits
  • Assist Case Manager with Medicare scheduling, monthly billing, charting, and issuing notices of non-coverage.
  • Work in collaboration with Admissions staff, Case Manager, and Supply Coordinator.
  • Leading the Medicare team meetings
  • Physician’s certifications are obtained
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Health Plan Nurse Qualifications:
  • RN license in the state of Minnesota required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience preferably in TCU.
  • Utilization Management preferred.
  • MDS experience preferred.
  • Capable of multitasking and staying organized.
  • Experience with Medicare and patient’s insurance preferred.
  • Proficient in computer software.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
