Redeemer Health Care Center, a Cassia senior community, is hiring a dedicated Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Food & Nutrition Services Director with leading the overall operations of the department. You will also ensure our residents receive a first-class dining experience through supervising and staffing exceptional dietary aides and cooks. 

The ideal candidate is a ServSafe-certified leader with large-scale cooking experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Position Type: Full-Time

Wage Range: $30 to $34 / hour depending on experience

Location: 625 W 31st Street, Minneapolis, MN 55408

Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and directing foodservice operations.
  • Help ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Supervise daily food production and service activities.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Monitor budgets and help control food and labor costs.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing foodservice staff.
  • Train and evaluate kitchen and service staff.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Promote safe work practices and staff adherence to food safety protocols.
Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services skills and requirements:
  • ServSafe certificate required or obtained upon hire.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal food service regulations, preferred.
  • Large scale batch cooking experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
