RN Quality Improvement Nurse
Join our talented and friendly team at Park View Care Center as a RN Quality Improvement Nurse! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated nursing professional who wants to make a difference in our residents' lives.
It is the responsibility of the Quality Improvement Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate an organized program for QAPI objectives established by the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
Position Type: Full-Time
Hours: Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $39 to $43 / hour depending on experience
Location: 200 Park Ln, Buffalo, MN 55313
RN Quality Improvement Nurse Responsibilities:
- Serve as a mandated reporter and respond appropriately to suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- Foster a respectful environment for all residents and staff, regardless of background or beliefs.
- Attend assigned meetings and coordinate Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, including scheduling, audits, and compiling statistics.
- Identify and communicate significant issues or trends to leadership and relevant departments.
- Recognize safety hazards and take corrective action as needed.
- Apply knowledge of nursing, infection prevention, safety, and regulatory policies.
- Manage and assess quality assurance data, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
- Review and respond to updates in Federal, State, and internal quality measures.
- Model professional ethics, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning for self and team.
- Ensure safe practices in all work and promptly report equipment concerns.
- Current RN license in Minnesota
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations (in particular those pertaining to necessary in-services)
- Must maintain current CPR certification.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Able to communicate effectively one on one, in small groups, and in presentation settings.
- Able to communicate effectively with Cassia staff, residents, families, government agencies, and the general public.
- Awareness of all moral and legal implications of the Patient’s and Residents’ Bill of Rights and Vulnerable Adult Act.
