In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator. In addition to generous benefits, we are offering 2 free sets of scrubs!

Position Type: Full-Time, benefit eligible position working Monday through Friday, every 4th weekend & a rotating holiday schedule. 

Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Wage Range: $20.50 - $26.51 / hour depending on experience

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:

• Answers telephones and directs visitors.
• Maintains residents' medical records.
• Coordinates appointments and communication with physicians and vendors.  Sets up medical appointments and arranges transportation of residents as needed.
• Transcribes Physician's Orders, with high degree of accuracy in the facility EHR census data.
• Assist with paperwork and medical documentation related to resident admissions
• Complete other tasks as requested.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.
• Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
• Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
