Janitor/ Floor Care Specialist

Apple Valley Villa, part of a senior living community, is hiring a Full-Time Janitor/ Floor Care Specialist to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning carpet areas of 200+ apartments and common areas, along with some basic janitorial work. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and enjoys making a difference in the lives of seniors.

Position Type: Full-Time

Shift: Friday through Tuesday, 7am to 3:30pm

Pay Range: $16 to $19 / hour depending on experience

Location: 14610 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124 

What does a Janitor/ Floor Care Specialist do?

• Clean carpet of 200+ apartments and common areas.
• Take out trash and recycling.
• Complete basic cleaning/ maintenance.
• Replace light bulbs in building fixtures.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

What does a Janitor/ Floor Care Specialist require?

• Previous carpet cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to run carpet extractor and drive tractor.
• Ability to use basic tools.
• Must have patience and understanding to work with a diverse population of residents.
